Women in Fleet: Lanzilotta of Fleet Response
The Women in Fleet profile series introduces fleet managers to some of the most influential women in fleet. Every month, we get to know another positive force in the fleet industry.
This month, we spoke with Fleet Response’s Executive Vice President, Allison Lanzilotta.
Getting into Fleet
Lanzilotta has been involved in the fleet industry since the start of her working career, working as a member of the Fleet Response team for two decades now.
Fleet Response is a specialized third-party administrator that manages first-party and third-party auto claims including subrogation, as well as safety services, rental replacement, maintenance management, and property/equipment claims and recovery.
“I oversee all of our operations, IT development, client engagement, and accounting. My job focuses on delivering best-in-class services that meet the ever-changing needs of our clients. We are constantly adding more tools to our technology that provide actionable data to our clients and proactively helping them reduce claims and keep their drivers safe,” Lanzilotta explained.
The founder of Fleet Response, Ron Mawaka Sr., hired Lanzilotta right out of college.
“I have had the pleasure of being a part of Fleet Response’s tremendous growth and success. I have worked in many different roles throughout the organization and been actively involved in NAFA and AFLA,” she said.
According to Lanzilotta, her greatest success in fleet is the development of her team.
“I am blessed to have creative, strong, talented, and driven people on my team that not only help us achieve the growth and success we have had but who are also a pleasure to work with,” she said.
Lanzilotta is driven by the success of her customers and an overall drive for improvement.
“I truly enjoy hearing how our services have helped our clients. Whether that is exemplified in the customer service and rapport built with a Fleet Response claim representative, how a custom data delivery has helped them deliver information to their boss, or how a new service offering takes away a manual process, they all motivate me to keep improving,” she said.
When it comes to advice for others in the industry? Keep improving.
“The fleet industry is an exciting place to be. There are many opportunities to get involved and connect with other fleet professionals. My advice would be to make sure you make it a priority to continue to learn and seek new ways of doing things. The fleet industry is very supportive of each other and willing to share from their experiences. Use that information to keep improving,” she said.
Get to Know Me
Experience is only part of our story and what someone likes to read, watch, and listen to can help paint a fuller picture of their personality. Here are some of Lanzilotta’s favorites:
- Book: “The Servant Leader by James Autry because it models my leadership style and The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren because it is foundational to who I am,” she said.
- Movie: “The Sound of Music – who doesn’t love a good musical?” Lanzilotta said.
- Songs: “You Say by Lauren Daigle because it provides encouragement after a tough day,” she said.
- You May Not Know: “I love the sport of gymnastics. I was involved in the sport for many years and am now an avid fan, especially of the elite and collegiate levels,” Lanzilotta shared.
