Target Audience.
This training is aimed at companies, both public and private, that own vehicles to carry out their work or to enable their staff and members to make business trips; brands, vehicle manufacturers, vehicle rental/leasing companies, car-sharing companies, logistics companies, insurance companies, appraisers, repair shops, component and accessory manufacturers, fleet vehicle preparers, corporate purchasing decision-makers and FMS managers.
Introduction.
Since 2012, land vehicle fleets of all types have seen a year-on-year increase in cyberattacks. This, combined with the entry into force of the UNECE/R155 Cybersecurity Regulation for Vehicles in 2024, has made it an urgent necessity for vehicle fleets to be cybersecurity-compliant.
What is a connected vehicle fleet? What types are there? How can all the vehicles in such a fleet be monitored remotely today? What cybersecurity risks might they be exposed to?
To understand the current situation in the sector and the new challenges it faces, the course “Cybersecurity in Vehicle Fleets” has been developed. This training covers everything from current vehicle fleets and the systems and technologies used to manage them to the reasons why ensuring their cybersecurity is necessary and essential; all of this is presented and explained by experts from EUROCYBCAR’s Technical Department.
CYBENTIA and EUROCYBCAR, leaders in technology and security solutions. This training program is specifically designed to address the unique challenges faced by companies that manage vehicle fleets, incorporating the most advanced technology in Fleet Management Systems (FMS). The course focuses on providing in-depth knowledge of the operations of connected vehicle fleets, the technologies and systems used to manage them, and the critical importance of the Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS), emphasizing why it is essential to ensure the digital integrity of these systems.
Through EUROCYBCAR’s expertise, course participants will have the opportunity to explore how modern fleets are controlled telematically, gaining an understanding of best practices for safely monitoring and managing vehicles. Above all, the course will thoroughly address the cybersecurity risks to which these fleets are exposed, providing effective strategies to prevent, detect, and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
This educational program is designed not only for fleet managers and professionals in the automotive/mobility sector, but also for a wide range of stakeholders involved in the mobility value chain, including manufacturers, insurance companies, repair shops specializing in vehicle fleets, claims adjusters, CISOs, and cybersecurity professionals in the sector—among many others.
Upon completing the course, participants will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to implement a robust CSMS, thereby ensuring the security and operational continuity of vehicle fleets in today’s digital environment, which is increasingly threatened by cybersecurity incidents. In addition, they will receive a certificate accrediting them as ‘Cybersecurity Specialists in Vehicle Fleets and the CSMS’.
Objectives.
Gaining an in-depth understanding of the cybersecurity risks faced by vehicle fleets is vital for any professional working in the automotive/mobility sector. These risks affect rental and leasing companies, car-sharing services, fleet managers, manufacturers of management devices and mobility apps, experts, fleet managers for police forces such as the Ertzaintza and Mossos d’Esquadra, and courier and parcel delivery companies such as Correos…
