{"id":8377,"date":"2020-11-13T19:33:42","date_gmt":"2020-11-13T18:33:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/advancedfleetmanagementconsulting.com\/eng\/?p=8377"},"modified":"2020-11-13T19:33:42","modified_gmt":"2020-11-13T18:33:42","slug":"fleet-behaviors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/advancedfleetmanagementconsulting.com\/eng\/2020\/11\/13\/fleet-behaviors\/","title":{"rendered":"Top 5 Most Common Risky Fleet Behaviors Identified"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><i>Graphic: Lytx<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Of 3 million events coached this summer, the following five risky behaviors were the most prevalent, with drivers not wearing seatbelts and unsafe following distance together accounting for 54% of the top five.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">When breaking down the top five risky behaviors by percentage of events observed where a risky action occurred, drivers not wearing seat belts was at 28%; having a following distance under 2 second was at 26%, violating the posted speed limit was 9%, failing to stop occurred 8% of the time, and performing an incomplete stop was at 7%<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u201cSeatbelt use continues to stand out as both a top behavior fleets are actively looking to address and one that drivers continue to struggle with, despite the inherent dangers and risk of policy violations and citations,\u201d said Del Lisk, Lytx\u2019s vice president of safety services. \u201cDrivers cited for not wearing a seatbelt are 3.4% more likely to get into a collision, and remains a priority for nearly every driver and fleet. Because of this, seatbelt use is one of eight behaviors we proactively issue in-cab alerts for, helping drivers to self-correct in real-time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">These insights were derived from the more than 3 million event clips captured by Lytx MV+AI-powered DriveCam Event Recorders and coached by its clients throughout June, July and August 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Lytx, which provides solutions for commercial, public sector, and service fleets, experienced a record-breaking summer in terms of the video data it captured, processed and delivered to empower drivers and clients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Throughout June, July and August, Lytx processed more than 15 million driving events.
