{"id":6233,"date":"2020-06-23T17:18:20","date_gmt":"2020-06-23T15:18:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/advancedfleetmanagementconsulting.com\/eng\/?p=6233"},"modified":"2020-06-23T17:18:20","modified_gmt":"2020-06-23T15:18:20","slug":"charging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/advancedfleetmanagementconsulting.com\/eng\/2020\/06\/23\/charging\/","title":{"rendered":"Huber + Suhner launches world\u2019s first 500A cooled charging cable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">To enable continuous high-powered electric vehicle charging, even in high-temperature environments, a new charging cable system has been launched that can operate at 500 Amperes thanks to a cooling system.<\/span><ins id=\"revive-0-1\" data-revive-zoneid=\"74\" data-revive-ct0=\"%c\" data-revive-id=\"6aafa29326b86ed2fe63762e441a303b\" data-revive-seq=\"1\" data-revive-loaded=\"1\"><\/ins><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Huber + Suhner, an electrical and optical connectivity company, has revealed its Radox HPC500, which is the world\u2019s first cooled charging cable system that allows continuous charging at 500 Amperes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The HPC500 cable and connector uses a cooled cable in order to deliver its performance, as well as an IP67 connector protection rating from the outside elements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Alongside the cooled cable system, Huber + Suhner has also developed a new 24 V cooling unit to increase cooling capacity and reduce operational temperatures of the power lines, enabling continuous 500 A charging at environmental temperatures of up to 50 oC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The new plug-and-play cooling unit, which is pre-filled with coolant, fits into existing charging stations, significantly reducing installation time.
