Lightning\u2019s new mobile battery charger also uses Octillion batteries.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Octillion\u00a0Power Systems is collaborating with Lightning Systems to\u00a0produce <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worktruckonline.com\/351449\/plug-power-and-lightning-system-partner-on-middle-mile-class-6-truck\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Class 6 electric trucks<\/a> (up to 12.5 tons) capable of supporting \u201cmiddle-mile\u201d delivery logistics between warehouses and distribution centers. Octillion also is supplying batteries for Lightning\u2019s new mobile battery charger, which can be rapidly deployed to provide fast roadside charging to support the operation of electric fleet vehicles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The mobile charger offers the capability to recharge EVs on their routes, which allows fleets to maximize vehicle uptime.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are thrilled to be partnering with Lightning Systems to \u00adoffer our advanced batteries for Lightning\u2019s medium-duty powertrains as well as their new mobile EV charger,\u201d said Paul Beach, Octillion\u2019s president. \u201cLightning is on the forefront of electric vehicles for fleets and is a growing company. We plan to grow with them as we partner together to help fleets to reduce their carbon footprint.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lightning\u2019s electric, fuel cell-powered Class 6 truck offered by\u00a0Plug Power Inc.\u00a0is available beginning in the third quarter of 2020.
