Here are the interim guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control &amp; Prevention (CDC).<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Leave the rear doors of the vehicle open to allow air flow.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">When cleaning the vehicle, wear a disposable gown and gloves. A face shield or facemask and goggles should also be worn if splashes and sprays during cleaning are expected.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Follow environmental cleaning and disinfecting procedures. Keep doors open to ensure adequate ventilation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Use routine cleaning and disinfecting procedures, such as using cleaners and water to pre-clean surfaces before applying a hospital grade disinfectant to frequently touched surfaces or objects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Use an EPA-approved disinfectant.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Clean and disinfect the vehicle in accordance with standard operating procedures. Clean surfaces such as the stretcher, rails, control panels, floors, walls, and work surfaces.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Clean and disinfect reusable patient care equipment before using it on another patient.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Follow standard operating procedures for the containment and disposal of used personal protective equipment\u00a0and regulated medical waste.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Follow standard operating procedures for containing and laundering used linen.
