{"id":4949,"date":"2020-04-04T17:06:09","date_gmt":"2020-04-04T15:06:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/advancedfleetmanagementconsulting.com\/eng\/?p=4949"},"modified":"2020-04-04T17:06:09","modified_gmt":"2020-04-04T15:06:09","slug":"renault-to-supply-carlsberg-with-fleet-of-electric-delivery-trucks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/advancedfleetmanagementconsulting.com\/eng\/2020\/04\/04\/renault-to-supply-carlsberg-with-fleet-of-electric-delivery-trucks\/","title":{"rendered":"Renault to supply Carlsberg with fleet of electric delivery trucks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Renault has announced a contract with the Carlsberg Group that will see it deliver 20 of its fully-electric trucks to enable zero-emission delivery of its products within urban environments such as city centers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">As urban transportation is rapidly moving towards electrification in an effort to improve air quality and tackle global CO2 emissions, Renault\u2019s agreement will contribute to reducing those produced from commercial vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">It will deliver 20 D Wide Z.E 100% electric 26-ton trucks in 2020, and they will be operated by the Feldschl\u00f6sschen brewery, the Group\u2019s Swiss subsidiary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u201cIt is the first order of this scale in Europe. It proves to our customers that the transport sector is undergoing a major transformation and reflects an industrial and commercial reality: our Renault Trucks electric trucks are rolling off the assembly line and will be on the roads of Europe in a few weeks\u2019 time,\u201d said Bruno Blin, president of Renault Trucks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The 20 Renault Trucks D Wide Z.E. will make daily delivery rounds of between 100 and 200 km to supply Feldschl\u00f6sschen Swiss clients from the brewer\u2019s 15 logistical sites in Switzerland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Renault Trucks D and D Wide Z.E. are produced at the manufacturer\u2019s plant in Blainville-sur-Orne (Calvados, France). They employ two 370kW electric motors and a 200kWh lithium-ion battery that produces 850Nm torque.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The manufacturer has made in-roads for commercial vehicle electrification and produces a range of electric trucks ranging from 3.1 to 26 tons.
