{"id":3854,"date":"2019-12-14T18:17:24","date_gmt":"2019-12-14T17:17:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/en.advancedfleetmanagementconsulting.com\/?p=3854"},"modified":"2019-12-14T18:17:24","modified_gmt":"2019-12-14T17:17:24","slug":"3854","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/advancedfleetmanagementconsulting.com\/eng\/2019\/12\/14\/3854\/","title":{"rendered":"Australia&#8217;s All Purpose Transport Launches All-Electric Delivery Truck for Ikea"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Australia&#8217;s All Purpose Transport Launches All-Electric Delivery Truck for Ikea<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">After a three-year project in conjunction with Australian automotive technology company SEA Electric, fleet service provider All Purpose Transport is\u00a0set to deploy Queensland\u2019s first 100% electric delivery truck for Ikea\u2019s planned zero emissions truck fleet by 2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ikea\u2019s vision for a 100% electric home delivery fleet by 2025 is seeing fleet delivery services such as APT partner with SEA Electric to build all-electric delivery trucks. All Purpose Transport is\u00a0aiming for 10% of its\u00a0Ikea\u00a0delivery fleet to be all-electric by the end of 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The new All Purpose Transport all-electric delivery truck is built on a Hino 917 glider with the SEA-Drive\u00a0120a power-system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">All Purpose Transport operates an owner-operator driver model and they have purchased the SEA Hino 917 delivery truck to test the business benefits of running an electric delivery truck and evaluate the positives and negatives. All Purpose Transport plans to offer an electric vehicle leasing scheme for a sustainable business model to their owner-drivers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ikea\u00a0is a corporate member of the EV100 group of companies joining the likes of DHL, Heathrow Airport, Hewlett Packard, and Swiss Post.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Another IKEA fleet partner, Sydney-based ANC, has had three Ikea\u00a0SEA Electric delivery trucks on the road for the past 10 months. Collectively, the three ANC electric trucks have travelled 85,000 kilometeres, traveling an average of 185 kilometeeres per day on a single charge, and made over 5,000 deliveries with an average weight of around 2.5 tonnes.
