Fleet Drivers Should More Cautious as the New Academic Year Begins<\/h2>\n

In 2017, 374 pedestrians and 110 bicyclists age 5-19 were killed in traffic accidents with overall bicycle fatalities peaking in August, according to the National Safety Council.<\/p>\n

This fact along with other critical data about children\u2019s risk factors for injury and death has prompted the Council to release a Back-to-School Safety Checklist for parents and caregivers.<\/p>\n

The latest move on the part of the Council also offers a good occasion for fleet managers to remind commercial drivers how they can do their part to increase roadway safety for children.<\/p>\n
