Electric Assisted Vehicles (EAV) are working with Bristol Television and Film Services to evaluate the decarbonising impact of micromobility solutions on location based film productions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The EAV2Cubed will be deployed on location sets at various productions over the coming few weeks to assess the value of using micromobility to move items such as costumes or camera, lighting, or sound equipment from the operating base to the filming location.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBTFS was recently awarded official supplier status by \u2018albert\u2019, which is the decarbonisation initiative from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA),\u201d said Brian Baker, Chairman and Managing Director at BTFS.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAll productions in the UK are now required to register with the albert initiative and use a carbon calculator to determine the carbon footprint of their production. Using the EAV2Cubed for short van journeys on location should see a reduction in carbon output with no loss of efficiency or delays to the production schedule.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The latest zero emissions EAV2Cubed has a capacity of 2 cubic meters and a load carrying capability of up to 200kgs making it ideal for moving around the various items that are needed on film and television production sets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The electric assistance provides for easy progress over most ground conditions and the light weight of the vehicle makes for very little infrastructure impact.\u00a0 The 2Cubed has a range of up to 40 miles on a single charge so more than enough for most location film or television productions.<\/span><\/p>\n

BTFS are currently deploying to several new productions throughout the summer and the EAV2Cubed will be evaluated both by the company and members of the production team and albert with the results reviewed with EAV for publication.<\/span><\/p>\n
