Vattenfall and the Swedish manufacturer of electric motorcycles CAKE have announced they will be developing what it is claiming to be \u2018the first fossil-free electric motorcycle\u2019.<\/ins><\/span><\/p>\n

The two companies signed a letter of intent to share expertise and know-how in their respective fields of competence with the aim to develop the bike.<\/span><\/p>\n

The collaboration combines cross-scientific competencies between Vattenfall and CAKE, as well as specialists from outside, on the journey towards the fossil-free motorcycle that should be ready for series production in 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

Further details on the electric motorcycle\u2019s powertrain specs and manufacturing technologies are yet to be released.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis collaboration is an excellent example of how we can contribute with fossil-free know-how and supply chain expertise in a specific product that drives towards zero emissions,\u201d said Annika Ramsk\u00f6ld, Head of Corporate Sustainability at Vattenfall.<\/span><\/p>\n
