ePower Trucks is expanding its range of electric last mile delivery vehicles with the X-Cell and X-Cell micro. Both vehicles are designed for couriers, post and parcel delivery and last mile logistics applications. They have top speeds of up to 50mph with a range of up to 120 miles and can carry a 500kg payload. Multiple cargo bed configuration are available.<\/span><\/p>\n

The X-Cell comes in three models \u2013 the X-Cell, X-Cell Pro, and X-Cell Pro+. It is joined by the X-Cell micro, an adaptable, 3-wheel vehicle designed for light loads such as postal and takeaway deliveries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bobby Cullen, Sales Director North, said: \u201cThe X-Cell series further expands our unique offering in all-electric last mile delivery vehicles. The last mile is often the costliest as well as a significant contributor to emissions. These compact, safe, all-electric vehicles can help change that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Along with its performance capabilities, the X-Cell also has new safety features. The cab has a reinforced steel frame for increased protection. In the event of a collision, the impact energy is reduced and evenly distributed via the cab\u2019s steel beams. These frame reinforcement points also help optimise stability, giving it more predictable road handling. The battery pack is fitted at the bottom of the vehicle, making the centre of gravity lower than similar vans in its class and reducing the risk of rollover.<\/span><\/p>\n

These three models are joined by two in the X-Cell Micro range, with a top speed of 25mph, payloads of 250kg or 100kg, and a range of up to 55 miles. The Micro can be customised with a refrigeration box, insulated box for hot food and drink, or be fitted with an adaptable cargo box.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jamie Radcliffe, Sales Director South for ePowerTrucks, said: \u201cResearch shows that over half of delivery vans travel no more than 15 miles away from their bases, making this a very viable, compact vehicle for city area deliveries and collections.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The vehicles are launched in the UK as ePower Trucks celebrates its 20th anniversary. Based in Oldham, Greater Manchester, it is one of the UK\u2019s largest independent providers of commercial electric vehicles and is already working with major parcel carriers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company also offers a range of finance options to help businesses and public sector clients make the switch to EVs; and supports them with a nationwide network of aftersales engineers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
