But the one method resulting in more than 90% of the fleet\u2019s carbon emissions reductions over the last few years\u00a0is biodiesel, according to the city\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityofmadison.com\/fleet-service\/documents\/City%20of%20Madison%20Fleet%20Biennial%20Report%20Final%20Draft%202_0.pdf\">biennial fleet report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"incontent02Ad\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Every gallon of biodiesel consumed by city fleet vehicles is renewable and grown and processed in Wisconsin. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.government-fleet.com\/342064\/wisconsin-city-adopts-b20-for-all-diesel-vehicles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">All diesel trucks use B-5 or B-20<\/a>, depending on the season, unless temperatures are forecast to be below freezing. All new Fire Department ambulances will come with anti-idling technology, and soybean-oil-based tires on 170 police vehicles substitute petroleum use while supporting the soybean industry in the Midwest.
